What is this raw diet?

Has anyone heard of this raw diet or "eating raw"? Interested in the concept and thoughts.

I've definitely heard of it. In fact, when I was dating Sam (who was a vegetarian at the time), we went to an awesome raw vegan restaurant called Pure Food and Wine which was actually one of the best meals I've ever had, despite the fact that I'm a die-hard meat lover.

Otherwise, my understanding is that raw food tends to retain higher nutrient levels than cooked, so there's that to consider. I haven't done a lot of research personally, though.
